A new fundraising initiative has been launched by a health charity, aiming to bring festive cheer to patients who will be in hospital during the Christmas period. Funds collected by the Northamptonshire Health Charity (NHC) via its “Elf Service” program are designated to supply presents to all in-patients across Kettering General Hospital, Northampton General Hospital, and facilities managed by the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, encompassing both mental health and community hospitals. The organization has requested financial contributions, specifying a preference for monetary donations over previously owned or pre-purchased gifts. According to Alfie Wright, who serves as the head of fundraising at NHC, “Every donation helps spread kindness to those in our local hospitals.” Further details regarding the “Elf Service” initiative are accessible on the charity’s official website.
