Police forces are increasing their presence in various neighbourhoods throughout Hull in anticipation of Halloween and Bonfire Night. This initiative, supported by Hull City Council, aims to mitigate anti-social behaviour during the period concluding on 10 November. Chief Inspector Alex Weeks of Humberside Police announced that the force intends to adopt a “zero-tolerance” approach towards individuals seeking to disrupt others’ enjoyment of these events. He clarified that this includes acts of anti-social behaviour, such as throwing objects at people, their residences, or vehicles. Chief Inspector Weeks additionally advised those celebrating Halloween or Bonfire Night to show consideration for their neighbours. He remarked, “Not everyone wants to celebrate occasions such as Halloween,”.
