Law enforcement officials have made arrests following an incident where a 14-year-old boy was assaulted and attempts were made to compel him into a car. This event occurred in Romsey, specifically outside the Bishop Blaize pub on Winchester Road. A 21-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of common assault and taking a child, and a 17-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of common assault. Both individuals have since been granted release on conditional bail. Hampshire Constabulary has stated that a man, who was driving a white Ford Mondeo and accompanied by a teenage boy, assaulted a 14-year-old boy, threatened him, and tried to make him get into the vehicle. The 14-year-old boy and the group he was with fled the scene. Subsequently, the man returned to his car and drove away. Authorities are currently appealing for any witnesses to this incident, which occurred approximately at 14:00 GMT on Friday, December 20, to come forward.
