Daniel Carter, identified as a criminal with a “long history of fraud and deception,” has been sentenced to 47 months’ imprisonment for theft, fraud, and false representation. Carter, 34, of no fixed address, secured a position as a hospital security guard at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust using a fake security licence. He proceeded to steal £1,425 from the hospital between November 2022 and January 2023, exploiting his role as a security supervisor. This sentencing followed an investigation conducted by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) in conjunction with Leicestershire Police. The fraudster pleaded guilty to three counts of theft by employee and eight counts of fraud by false representation. The Security Industry Authority (SIA) emphasized that security operatives working under contract are legally mandated to hold and display a valid SIA licence. Carter’s history includes similar criminal conduct; in 2018, he received a prison sentence of over a year for stealing customers’ bank details, also while employed as a security guard, according to the SIA. Jenny Hart, the criminal investigations manager at the SIA, issued a statement regarding the case: “Mr Carter is a career criminal with a long history of fraud and deception.” She added, “His calculated dishonesty and theft will not be tolerated, and this case underscores our commitment to protecting the public by ensuring that only licensed, vetted professionals serve in trusted roles and bringing those seeking to break the rules to justice.” Post navigation Two Individuals Charged Following Funeral Home Investigation Coroner Links Ambulance Service “Failure” to Motorcyclist’s Death
