A woman was fatally injured following a collision between a car and a lorry on the A75 in Dumfries and Galloway. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the incident, which occurred between Annan and Eastriggs at approximately 09:30. The driver, a 36-year-old woman operating a black Ford Ka, was pronounced dead at the scene. The road section remained closed for investigative procedures late on Wednesday afternoon, and a diversion route had been put in place. Sergeant Colin Ramage stated: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this difficult time.” He added that investigations were continuing to ascertain the complete details of the collision and urged any witnesses to contact authorities. He further requested that anyone possessing dashcam footage present it.
