Former Stoke City defender Mike Pejic has expressed his belief that the team is progressing positively under the guidance of head coach Narcis Pelach. The Potters have experienced a strong period, suffering only one defeat in their last eight league fixtures. This sequence of results has elevated the club to 13th position in the Championship standings. In an interview with BBC Radio Stoke, Pejic commented that the Catalan coach has successfully placed players in their optimal positions. “You have to have the right people in the right roles and if you get that and the right blend and right type of player, you are going to get results.” Pejic further emphasized the crucial contributions expected from Tom Cannon, Andrew Moran, Lewis Koumas, and Wouter Burger for Stoke’s continued advancement. “We’ve got players who can split defences and stretch them, plus wide players who can dribble and cross. They can all bring out different elements of the game in their attacking play.” He concluded by stating that the players are currently executing these roles effectively, and such high performance levels are conducive to achieving positive results.
