The West Midlands region is set to receive additional train services. West Midlands Railway announced that these adjustments, scheduled to take effect on 15 December, are part of a nationwide timetable update that occurs twice annually. Among the new services are seven additional trains operating weekly between Birmingham and Shrewsbury. Furthermore, increased train frequencies will be implemented on routes connecting Leamington Spa and Coventry, Birmingham and Hereford, and Stafford and Crewe. Jonny Wiseman, the customer experience director at the operator, stated, “Most changes will be the case of a few minutes either way, but those few minutes could be the difference between being on time or missing your train.” He further advised, “All the new timetables are in online journey planners, so I urge our customers to please check their travel times before heading to the station.”
