An inquest has determined that a man, Lewis Stevenson, who resided in West Hallam, Derbyshire, succumbed to head injuries after falling from a 192m (630ft) bridge in Spain. Mr. Stevenson’s fall from the Castilla La Mancha bridge, located near Talavera de la Reina, occurred on 13 October as he was producing content for social media. During proceedings at Derby Coroner’s Court, it was stated that the 26-year-old’s death resulted from blunt force head injuries and an uncontrolled descent from a significant height. Assistant coroner Sabyta Kaushal initiated and subsequently adjourned the inquest on Tuesday. The court was informed that Mr. Stevenson, a graphic and print designer, was born in Derby, and his mother, Keilia Stevenson, identified his body. Miss Kaushal commented, “The inquest will now be adjourned for further investigations to be concluded.” Additionally, the hearing revealed that law enforcement has requested a toxicology report, which is anticipated to take between nine and 12 months to complete. Previously, his mother expressed her pride in him, offering a tribute. She stated, “He was a thrill-seeker who loved to travel and have new experiences.” Macarena Muñoz, a councillor on Talavera council, issued a statement indicating that Mr. Stevenson and a 24-year-old man, who was present at the time of the fatal fall, had “come to Talavera to climb the bridge and create content for social networks.” She characterized the event as an “unfortunate and sad outcome.” Furthermore, she emphasized that climbing the bridge is “totally prohibited,” describing it as an activity “which we have reiterated on many occasions cannot be done under any circumstances.” Post navigation Stoke-on-Trent Man Charged in £40,000 Theft and Burglary Case Stalking Deemed More Traumatic Than Gunpoint Threat by Victim
