Caffè Nero Acquires 200 Degrees Coffee Brand

Caffè Nero has acquired the independent coffee house chain, 200 Degrees. Established in 2012, the Nottingham-headquartered company had expanded to operate 21 outlets throughout the UK, with locations such as Manchester, Leeds, Leicester, Cardiff, Derby, and Liverpool. This company, which also operates its own roastery situated in Meadow Lane, Nottingham, now represents the fifth brand to become part of the Nero Group. The Nero Group’s objective is to further expand the 200 Degrees brand within the UK. Gerry Ford, the founder and Group CEO of Nero Group, stated: “200 Degrees has a solid, loyal customer base and has developed a strong regional position.” Mr Ford further commented, “Our intention is to support 200 Degrees to continue its growth journey and allow the brand to operate separately alongside the other brands in The Nero Group.” Stephen Fern, the managing director of 200 Degrees, also remarked: “We are thrilled that the strong market position and growth potential of 200 Degrees has been recognised within the sector, and we are excited to see where our brand can go now that we have become part of The Nero Group family.”
