An individual charged with a woman’s murder is scheduled to appear at crown court this week. Brian Simpson, aged 64, residing at Nene Court, Spalding, faces a murder charge in connection with the death of Kristine Sparane, 37. Ms. Sparane’s body was found at her residence on Winsover Road, Spalding, on November 26. Mr. Simpson made an appearance at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday; however, no formal pleas were submitted at that time. Mr. Simpson’s subsequent court appearance is slated to be before Judge Nirmal Shant KC at Nottingham Crown Court for a preliminary and bail hearing later in the week. Following this, a date is anticipated to be established for a plea and trial preparation hearing, which will take place before Judge Simon Hirst at Lincoln Crown Court. Additionally, a provisional date for the trial will be determined. Mr. Simpson continues to be held in custody.
