Kent Police are requesting assistance from the public following assaults in Margate involving a chemical, which resulted in injuries to four individuals. The force reported that shortly before 01:15 GMT on November 9, a group of people were involved in a disturbance on Mansion Street, located between Fort Road and The Parade. During the event, a man reportedly sprayed others with a liquid, believed to be a strong alkali. This caused four people to experience reddening and irritation on their faces or chest. Officers from Kent Police responded to the scene and have confiscated a bottle thought to have contained the substance used. Authorities have stated their desire to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses relevant CCTV footage. Additionally, police have circulated an image of a man they wish to interview in connection with the occurrence.
