Students at a school in Guernsey organized an event focused on presenting concepts and future perspectives. The Ladies’ College, located in St Peter Port, announced that it had obtained a TEDx Youth Licence. This enabled the institution to conduct discussions on Friday, addressing significant topics relevant to its student body. According to the school, the subjects covered during the event encompassed the influence of educational environments exclusively for girls and the imperative to enhance the prominence of female perspectives, especially within sectors historically dominated by men. TEDx events are public speaking forums designed to foster “research and discover ideas worth spreading.” A school representative stated that the program included presentations delivered by students from its upper sixth, lower sixth, and lower five academic levels, complemented by breakout sessions designed for extended dialogue. Deputy principal Nick Dyson commented: “The Ladies’ College is committed to empowering young women, and this event gives them a powerful platform to speak on topics that matter to them.” Post navigation Surrey County Council Considers School Holiday Revisions New Training Center Addresses Skills Gap in Low-Carbon Heating
