Glasgow City maintained its leading position in the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) following a derby win over Partick Thistle, on a day that saw all top five teams secure victories. Second-placed Rangers achieved the most significant win, scoring ten goals against Montrose at Broadwood. Meanwhile, reigning champions Celtic secured a 4-0 victory when playing Motherwell. Hearts defeated bottom-of-the-table Dundee United with a 9-0 scoreline, and Edinburgh rivals Hibs overcame a one-goal deficit to beat Aberdeen 7-1. Queen’s Park, currently second from the bottom, drew 1-1 with Spartans, bringing them level on points with Montrose.
