A trial date has been established for a 16-year-old male who has pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of a fellow teenager in Holbeach. Lincolnshire Police reported that officers responded to Spalding Road around 01:50 BST on Sunday, July 28, where a 16-year-old boy, whose identity is withheld due to his age, was discovered with severe injuries. The apprehended teenager, also unnamed, made an appearance at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday. The court proceedings are scheduled to commence on January 13 and are anticipated to extend for two weeks. The young person was remanded into the secure custody of the local authority. An additional pre-trial hearing is set for January 6 at Lincoln Crown Court. Lincolnshire Police had previously requested that the public refrain from speculating about the incident’s details as their investigation was ongoing. The police force also issued an appeal for witnesses and anyone in the vicinity at the time who might have observed the event to contact them.
