Elderly woman dies after being struck by vehicle

An elderly woman, aged in her 90s, has passed away following a collision with a car. Law enforcement officials reported that the incident occurred on Cryfield Grange Road, situated between Kenilworth and the University of Warwick campus, at approximately 13:30 GMT on Thursday. Warwickshire Police confirmed that despite the intervention of paramedics, the woman was pronounced deceased at the location of the incident. A spokesperson for the police force also stated that the deceased woman’s family is receiving assistance from officers with specialized training. Sgt Sarah Etienne issued a statement, adding: “We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us, especially if they have dashcam footage.”
