A couple is investing an estimated £500,000 to convert a former water tower, which stands 65 feet (20 meters) tall and 32 feet (10 meters) wide, into a family residence. Tassy and Adam, who acquired the disused tower near Roade, Northamptonshire, in 2019, have been featured in an episode of Channel 4’s Grand Designs. The architectural plans encompass a main bedroom suite located at the uppermost level, along with a two-story luxury entertainment area that will include a swimming pool, a cinema room, and a kitchen. An outdoor sky garden is also part of the design. Appearing on Grand Designs, Adam stated: “I’ve always had a passion to build and I think [the project] is amazing. It will be a nice space.” Tassy added her perspective, saying: “We want it to be fun, but practical as well.” For news updates from Northamptonshire, follow BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
