Blackburn Rovers defender Tom Atcheson has finalized a new four-year contract at Ewood Park, which includes an option for an additional 12 months. He made his first-team debut for Blackburn in August 2023. At 16 years and 343 days old, Atcheson became the fourth youngest player for Rovers to appear in a first-team match. This occurred when he entered as a late substitute during their 8-0 Carabao Cup victory against Harrogate last season. The 18-year-old also participated in Blackburn’s FA Cup fourth-round win against Wrexham during the previous season. However, he has not yet featured in a league fixture. Atcheson, who represents Northern Ireland at the Under-19 level, is presently on loan with Marine, a team in the National League North.
