On the latest installment of BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, former Premier League forward Chris Sutton shared his thoughts on Manchester United’s options for their attacking lineup. He commented, “Are all these players on trial? Is Ruben Amorim still undecided? I suspect there’s a large element of that.” Sutton also stated, “I bet a pound to a penny that there was Manchester United fans wondering why [Rasmus] Hojlund or [Marcus ] Rashford didn’t start as the nine [against Everton].” He continued, “Because of what has happened so far this season, [Joshua] Zirkzee may have been written off in some quarters. His performance shows he may have a part to play.” While looking ahead to Wednesday’s match against Arsenal, Sutton remarked, “That centre-back pairing [William Saliba and Gabriel] have got it all. They have pace and are physically strong and robust” He then questioned, “Would you play Hojlund up against them, or would Zirkzee dropping in cause them more problems? It’s a wait and see on Wednesday.”
