An individual has been imprisoned following a violent robbery of a stranger, from whom he had requested a lift. Simon Kubalik, aged 20, took the victim’s wallet and phone subsequent to repeatedly striking him upon their arrival at St Alban Road in Leeds. The victim sustained multiple facial fractures necessitating surgical intervention, an outcome of the robbery that occurred on April 25, as reported by West Yorkshire Police. Kubalik, whose address is Dulverton Place in Beeston, received a six-year prison sentence at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, in addition to a £228 fine. During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Kubalik, accompanied by a woman, approached the victim, who was seated in his vehicle on Harehills Lane, and requested a ride to St Alban Road. The man consented to the request; however, upon reaching the destination, Kubalik assaulted him and absconded with his possessions. Subsequent to investigations involving CCTV footage, he was apprehended and entered a guilty plea to the charge of robbery at Leeds Crown Court in October. Det Con Joe Kendrew, from the Leeds District Crime Team, stated: “This attack was so violent that it left his victim with multiple facial fractures which required several operations.” He further added: “I hope this outcome will be of some comfort to him as he continues his recovery.” Post navigation Al Fayed Abuse Potential Compared to Savile’s Scale, Says Harrods Advocate Two Individuals Arrested Following Assault on Learner Driver
