Police officers humorously remarked that a takeaway delivery driver had taken fast food service “to the extreme” after being observed riding an e-bike on a busy motorway. National Highways reported that the individual was sighted on the M1 northbound carriageway in Leicestershire at approximately 17:50 GMT on Tuesday. Leicestershire Police stated they were called to the hard shoulder at junction 23 and subsequently escorted the man away. The force’s North West Leicestershire safer neighbourhood team indicated that the rider was then informed he was in “wheel trouble” and received a traffic offence report.
