Police have initiated an investigation into a deliberate fire at a block of newly constructed flats in Bo’ness. Emergency services were dispatched to the building located at the junction of Commissioner Street and Union Street at approximately 22:20 on Friday. Initially, four fire engines responded, with crews working throughout the night to bring the flames under control. Two fire engines remained on site on Saturday morning. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) reported that there have been no accounts of injuries. Police secured the area while providing assistance to the fire service. A spokesperson for the force commented: “The fire is being treated as wilful and inquiries are ongoing.”
