Reality television personality Charlotte Crosby stated she has enhanced security at her residence, including the addition of patrol dogs, following a break-in she attributed to “scumbags.” The former Geordie Shore cast member, who is pregnant, expressed gratitude to a security firm for their “hard work” in setting up 24-hour monitored CCTV surveillance. Crosby, a resident of Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland, reported that she, her fiance Jake Ankers, and her two-year-old daughter were present when masked intruders entered their home on Thursday. Durham Police confirmed they are conducting an investigation, noting that the suspects had departed the premises prior to the arrival of officers. A spokesperson for the police force further stated that no individuals sustained injuries and no possessions are thought to have been stolen. The 34-year-old reality star conveyed in an Instagram post: “Trebling our security measures, worth every penny to feel safe again in my own home.” “Scumbags are gunna get a big shock the next time they even step foot on any perimeter of my land.” Following the intrusion, Crosby stated she was hospitalized due to “serious pains” in her stomach, though she confirmed her baby’s condition was “fine.” Crosby, the winner of the 12th series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, became engaged to Ankers in October 2023, subsequent to the birth of their first child in 2022. She was also among the initial cast members of Geordie Shore and recently appeared alongside Ankers in the BBC Three program Charlotte in Sunderland. Authorities are appealing to anyone possessing information regarding the incident to contact them. Additional reporting was provided by PA Media.
