An individual has been charged with murder subsequent to a deadly stabbing incident in a town centre. Emergency services were dispatched to Brereton Road, Bedford, shortly before 03:00 GMT on Tuesday. A male in his twenties, whose identity Bedfordshire Police have not yet released, was transported to a hospital and passed away on Wednesday. Tyreese Kamau, 25, of Rutland Road, Bedford, has been formally accused of murder and is scheduled to appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. Det Insp Adam Bridges, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, commented: “We recognise that such events are deeply concerning for the community, and we want to reassure local residents that officers will remain in place at the scene in the coming days as we continue our inquiries.
