Doncaster Rovers defender Richard Wood has been restricted to only two appearances for the club this season. He is now anticipated to be sidelined for the next 12 weeks following an ankle operation. The 39-year-old has not featured since August and was nearing a return when he suffered a recurrence of the injury. Doncaster boss Grant McCann told BBC Radio Sheffield: “He’s tried to come back and it’s still niggling away at him. We’re all gutted because he was close to returning but it just wasn’t right.” McCann added: “Hopefully he can help us towards the end of the season.” Post navigation SWPL: Share Your Feedback Dungannon Swifts Manager McAree Expresses Disappointment Over ‘Soft’ Goal in Larne Loss
