An individual has appeared before a court in connection with a deadly collision in Leeds. Uroy Randal, 47, passed away after an impact with a Renault tipper truck in Belle Isle on January 25, 2023. Martin Rowse, 55, attended Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, facing charges of causing death by dangerous driving. After his death, Mr. Randal was characterized by his family as a “kind and gentle soul” who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.” Mr. Rowse, residing on Pawson Street in Morley, was granted unconditional bail to make an appearance at Leeds Crown Court on December 31. Members of Mr. Randal’s family were present in court for the brief hearing, during which the defendant spoke solely to confirm his name and address. In a statement, Mr. Randal’s family conveyed that he “kept himself to himself and loved listening to music.”
