Pedestrian Clare Ritchie Named Following Fatal Collision in North Lanarkshire

Clare Ritchie, a 41-year-old pedestrian, has been identified following her death after being struck by a vehicle in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire. The collision occurred around 21:30 on Friday on Crossgates within the town, involving a silver Ford Fiesta. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where she was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter. Her relatives characterized her as “a loving mother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend.” In a released statement, they conveyed: “The tragedy that happened on Friday has left us all devastated. She will be dearly missed, but we all promise to make her proud and keep her memory alive” Sgt Andrew Coutts stated: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” He added: “We are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.”
