56-year-old woman fatally struck by vehicle in Clydebank

A woman, aged 56, passed away following a collision with a car in Clydebank. The incident occurred on Thursday, approximately at 17:40, when the pedestrian was hit by a Volkswagen Amarok on the westbound carriageway of Dumbarton Road, specifically between the junctions of Hawick Street and Mill Road. She was declared deceased at the site of the accident. The individuals inside the blue VW sustained no injuries. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are particularly interested in contacting the driver of a silver van or minibus that was traveling eastbound prior to the impact. Sgt Adnan Alam stated: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died. We’re offering them support and will continue to do so as our investigations progress.” He added: “Anyone with dashcam footage of Dumbarton Road around the time is asked to review this and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
