Clive Penniall has received a 24-year prison sentence following his conviction for historical sexual abuse involving a woman and a boy. The court found Clive Penniall guilty of three counts of rape against a female over the age of 16 and one count of domestic assault. These offenses took place during the period from 1993 to 2001. The 55-year-old had previously admitted guilt to 11 counts of indecent assault on a boy and four counts of indecency with a child, all committed within the same timeframe. Penniall, whose address is Wolverhampton Road West, Walsall, received his sentence at Wolverhampton Crown Court on December 4. Det Con Sara Turton of West Midlands Police commented, stating: “Penniall subjected a child to years of repeated serious sexual abuse and raped a woman on a number of occasions. “I am delighted he has received many years behind bars so that he can no longer pose a risk to the community.” She added: “I would like to commend the survivors of Penniall’s abuse, who found the courage to come forward and speak to us. Their bravery has brought him to justice and protected others from potential future crimes.”
