Reading has officially named Noel Hunt as its new manager, following the departure of Ruben Selles to Hull City. Hunt has signed a contract with the club for two-and-a-half years. According to BBC Radio Berkshire, the 41-year-old has finalized his two-and-a-half-year agreement at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. The ex-striker for Leeds United, Ipswich Town, and Reading is set to lead his first match this Saturday against League One leaders Wycombe Wanderers. Hunt assumes his new role with the club currently positioned sixth in the league table. The former Republic of Ireland international previously served as both assistant and caretaker manager at Swindon Town. He was also appointed as Reading’s caretaker boss in April 2023, subsequent to Paul Ince’s dismissal.
