Anthony Musaba acknowledged that Sheffield Wednesday had opportunities to score more than the two goals they achieved against Hull City on Tuesday night. Sheffield Wednesday secured their initial penalty in over 18 months, which Josh Windass converted to score the opening goal in their 2-0 victory against a struggling Hull City team. Musaba, entering as a substitute, subsequently delivered a volleyed assist for Michael Smith, securing the win. However, despite a strong first half, the Owls did not score their second goal until the 81st minute. During the initial 45 minutes, Josh Windass, Ike Ugbo, Djeidi Gassama, and Pol Valentin each had near-misses for the visiting team, with the Owls generating 12 of their overall 16 shots in this period. Musaba commented to BBC Radio Sheffield, “It was a fantastic team performance. Especially in the first half, the way we played on the ball was outstanding. We could have taken a few more goals – but in the end, it’s football.” Although missed opportunities have been a consistent aspect of Wednesday’s matches this season, the winger views the outcome with optimism. Musaba further remarked, “We have to look positive to the game and we are going off the pitch with the three points, that’s what matters. I think we are moving in the right direction, especially if you compare it to last season – it’s a big difference.”
