Carlisle United’s head coach, Mike Williamson, has committed to “find a solution” for his team’s poor performance at Brunton Park. Under Williamson’s leadership, Carlisle United has secured five points from eight games. The 1-0 defeat to Cheltenham Town on Saturday marked their 14th loss in 17 home league matches, placing the Cumbrians 23rd in League Two. This season, the club has gathered only four points from seven league fixtures played on their home ground. Speaking to BBC Radio Cumbria, Williamson stated, “The boys are giving everything and it’s not quite working yet, but we will find a solution.” The loss to Cheltenham leaves Carlisle with just eight points from 14 league games, positioning them three points adrift of safety. They are currently winless in seven games, with their last victory occurring in Williamson’s first game in charge at Swindon Town last month. The former Milton Keynes Dons boss expressed his determination to reverse the challenging situation. He remarked, “This is an incredibly well supported club and a lot of the fans are behind the team.” Williamson acknowledged the presence of dissatisfied supporters, adding, “Of course, there will be disgruntled supporters but I can only say our focus and desire to turn it around started from day one and we’ll continue that.” Post navigation BBC Radio Merseyside Recalls Five Unusual Merseyside Derby Moments Healy and Devine Preview Belfast Derby at The Oval
