An individual has been taken into custody on suspicion of rape, following a public appeal for information by the police. Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the 33-year-old man was apprehended in connection with a rape incident that occurred in Gloucester on Saturday. The identification of the suspect was made after law enforcement issued a call for information, which included the dissemination of a CCTV image. A police spokesperson stated, “We’d like to thank the public for sharing our appeal and particularly to everyone who came forward to help identify the man.” The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
