An individual, attired as Batman, has received a one-year driving disqualification after crashing his vehicle into a pole while intoxicated and subsequently fleeing from law enforcement. Lewis Blondrage, aged 25, residing at Aliwal Barracks, collided with a telegraph pole on Meerut Road in Tidworth on November 19. Blondrage then departed the location of the incident, pursued by local residents who chased him into the night. On Wednesday, he was convicted of both drink driving and failing to stop following a road traffic collision. Swindon Magistrates’ Court imposed a sentence comprising a 12-month driving disqualification and a £600 fine. According to Wiltshire Police, multiple policing teams, supported by police dogs, were required to apprehend Blondrage. Upon his arrest, he failed a roadside breath test. He was then transported to custody, where a blood sample he provided confirmed his alcohol level exceeded the legal limit. For updates, follow BBC Wiltshire on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
