A significant thoroughfare is scheduled to remain closed for a second day following an incident where a tanker overturned, releasing a “significant” quantity of fuel. The vehicle departed the A66 carriageway near Threlkeld in Cumbria, situated between the A591 at Keswick and the A5091 (Troutbeck), shortly after 05:00 GMT on Saturday.
