Driver Arrested After Fatal Collision Kills 72-Year-Old Pedestrian

A driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal incident where a woman was struck by a car. Her family has described her loss as “unbearable.” Merseyside Police reported that Lin Donnelly was hit by a blue Ford Focus on Brewster Street in Kirkdale, Liverpool, at approximately 19:45 GMT on Thursday. The 72-year-old was transported to a hospital, where she subsequently died. In a tribute, her family stated: “Words can’t describe the pain in our hearts at the unbearable loss of you. Our life will never be the same without you.” A 46-year-old man from Liverpool has been taken into custody and released on bail as further enquiries proceed.
