England’s white-ball captain, Jos Buttler, struck a 15-ball fifty during the Abu Dhabi T10 League, contributing to Deccan Gladiators’ seven-wicket victory over Chennai Braves. Buttler arrived at the crease when the Gladiators were 37-2, chasing a target of 142 runs. He then proceeded to score an unbeaten 62 runs from 24 balls, guiding the two-time champions to victory with two balls remaining. For the third wicket, he formed a 100-run partnership with Somerset’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who also contributed 51 runs from 24 balls. Earlier in the match, the Braves had posted a total of 141-2, largely due to Australia’s Chris Lynn, who scored 68 not out from 28 balls, and South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who added 62 runs from 29 deliveries. This tournament marks Buttler’s debut appearance, and he is among over 20 English players participating in the event.
