Individuals involved in Alderney’s growing, farming, and fishing sectors are being invited to participate in a newly established group. The General Services Committee (GSC) has issued a call for community members to submit applications for positions within the Nature and Agricultural Stakeholder Group. This group is tasked with monitoring the implementation of the Strategy for Nature and Agriculture. This strategy, released earlier in the current year, addresses food production and the stewardship of natural resources, aligning with the goals outlined in the Island Plan. A total of ten individuals possessing expertise in the island’s natural environment are sought to establish this group by early 2025.
