According to BBC Radio Humberside, Hull City’s board of directors convened a meeting this morning concerning the position of manager Tim Walter. This follows the Tigers’ 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night, extending their winless streak to nine games. Walter, who is German, assumed the managerial role in May, succeeding Liam Rosenior, yet has secured victories in only three of his 17 league fixtures at the helm. Prior to the defeat against the Owls, owner Acun Ilicali informed the station that he would not dismiss Walter irrespective of the outcome, and appealed for patience. Nevertheless, at the conclusion of the match, the Tigers were met with boos from the remaining home supporters at the MKM Stadium, having achieved just one victory in nine home games this season.
