An 83-year-old woman, currently relearning to dance, received valuable guidance from a pair of dancers from Strictly Come Dancing. In a brief video message, comedy actress Sarah Hadland and her professional partner Vito Coppola advised Brenda Grebol to “dance with your heart.” Ms. Grebol had previously informed personnel at Mountfitchet House, located in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, of her desire to resume dancing. Expressing her delight, she stated, “I’m over the moon and can’t believe Vito and Sarah have sent me a video.” She further added, “I took their advice on board and really danced with my heart and listened to my teacher.” An enthusiastic admirer of the BBC One program, Ms. Grebol has mastered the waltz, cha-cha-cha, and jive, aided by the care home and a dance instructor. Her dancing journey began at age 11 with school friends, leading her to dance at the Old Winding Way social club in Dagenham, east London, a venue also frequented by the late England footballer Terry Venables. Among her most treasured memories is learning dance steps from local residents in Spain alongside her husband, the country where they initially met.
