Police are searching for two masked individuals after a firearm was discharged in a targeted attack at a shop in Glasgow. A 52-year-old man was transported to hospital after armed officers responded to Drumoyne Road, Govan, around 16:00 on Friday. His condition is reported as stable subsequent to receiving medical care. Investigators are classifying the incident as attempted murder. Authorities are seeking two men observed wearing dark clothing and face-coverings. They departed the scene in a Ford Fiesta, which was reportedly driven “erratically” in the direction of Clydebank. The vehicle was subsequently discovered incinerated in a wooded location, frequented by walkers, situated near Cochno Road in Clydebank’s Faifley district. Detective Sergeant Laura Roberts stated: “We believe the car described was being driven erratically during rush-hour traffic on a Friday. “Think back, did you see a car being driven in this manner? If you have any information which may assist our enquiry, please get in touch.” Law enforcement personnel will conduct door-to-door investigations, and additional patrols will be deployed in the vicinity; however, officials confirm there is no broader threat to the general public.
