Law enforcement officers engaged in the search for an individual reported missing in Warwickshire have announced the discovery of a body. John Taylor was last observed on 3 December, and the subsequent search garnered substantial community involvement, with residents from various parts of the county participating and others contributing drones for assistance. Warwickshire Police stated on Thursday that a body retrieved from undergrowth in the vicinity of Kenilworth Castle is thought to be that of Mr Taylor. The force indicated that formal identification is pending, but confirmed that his family has been notified. The police force expressed gratitude to all individuals who participated in the search efforts and affirmed its ongoing support for the family. On Wednesday, Det Ch Insp Sutherland Lane commented that, “given the time since Mr Taylor’s disappearance, officers were not expecting to find him alive.”
