A Leeds city centre hotel will once again be the canvas for an animated Christmas story, marking its second consecutive year. This year’s film, titled To Leeds, With Love, features the gingerbread man character who previously appeared in the City Square projection last year. The Queens Hotel’s facade will host this display, which is scheduled to commence on Thursday evening. It will be shown 187 times across 11 days, concluding on December 22. Leeds BID provided funding for the animation, which was penned by Yorkshire screenwriter Lisa Holdsworth and features narration by Richard Armitage, known for his roles in The Hobbit and North & South. This projection is the result of a collaborative effort between Leeds BID and Onionlab, a creative studio based in Barcelona. It offers a new interpretation of “The 12 Days of Christmas” song, depicting the gingerbread man embarking on an adventure with Leeds-specific themes. Ms. Holdsworth stated: “At the heart of the festivities, the ever-cheerful gingerbread man takes on the delightful task of decorating the hotel’s towering Christmas tree. “A cast of festive special guests soon arrives to lend their help, each one as joyful as the next, and you may just recognise a few from a beloved Christmas carol.” Leeds BID reported that over 200,000 individuals viewed last year’s projection during the Christmas season. Andrew Cooper, representing the organization established to enhance Leeds city centre, noted that the eight-minute shows commence at 16:30 GMT and are replayed every 15 minutes until 20:30 GMT. He commented: “It is our digital Christmas card, it really puts Leeds on the map. “It’s here to bring some magic, sparkle and fun to Leeds this Christmastime.” Post navigation Indian Concertgoers Voice Discontent Over High Ticket Prices and Substandard Venue Conditions Long-Awaited Crown Wharf Theatre in Stone Set for Opening Night
