Individual Critically Injured in Road Collision

Police have reported that a major thoroughfare in Nottinghamshire is partially closed following a collision that has resulted in one individual sustaining life-threatening injuries. This multi-vehicle incident occurred on Thursday around 11:35 GMT on the northbound lanes of the A46, specifically in the vicinity of Bridgford Garden Centre. The affected section of the road spans from the A52 Saxondale Island northbound to the B6166 at Newark. The southbound carriageway has since reopened. Authorities have cautioned drivers, especially those operating HGVs, to seek alternative routes, as the police indicated that the closures are expected to persist for “some time.”
