Mattie Pollock has participated in 16 matches across all competitions for Watford during the current season. Centre-back Mattie Pollock has committed his future to Watford by signing a contract extension that will keep him at Vicarage Road through the summer of 2029. The 23-year-old defender has accumulated 40 appearances for the Hornets in all competitions since his arrival from Grimsby in July 2021. During his initial two seasons with the club, he spent significant time on loan, including stints at Cheltenham Town and with Scottish side Aberdeen. In August, he registered his inaugural goal for the team during a Carabao Cup victory over MK Dons, and he has been in the starting lineup for all 14 of Watford’s Championship fixtures this season to date. According to the club, Pollock has emerged as a “standout” player this season, having done so “after patiently waiting for his chance.”
