Police reported that ten individuals were transported to a hospital as a precautionary measure following a collision between a bus and a lorry in Leicestershire. According to a Leicestershire Police spokesperson, the bus was transporting 37 children on a school excursion, and 16 passengers suffered minor injuries in the incident, which occurred on the A46, close to Syston. The incident, which took place at approximately 09:30 GMT, led to the closure of the northbound dual carriageway between the A607 near Cossington and the B676. National Highways confirmed that the northbound carriageway was reopened at 14:00, though normal traffic flow was not anticipated to return until between 17:45 and 18:00.
