This year marks the first instance in a generation where neither Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo are contenders for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award. The announcement of the Ballon d’Or winner is scheduled for Monday in Paris, following the initial selection of 30 players for the shortlist. A considerable number of these nominated players began their professional journeys in English football, while others subsequently moved to Premier League clubs. The challenge invites participants to identify these individuals based on the first English team for which they played a first-team match, including appearances made during loan periods. Should a club be associated with multiple eligible players, selecting any one of them will be sufficient to earn recognition.
