Artist “Completely Stoked” After Taylor Swift Features Her Work on Eras Tour

Rachel Rasmussen, a 40-year-old artist from Cardiff, expressed being “completely stoked” by the acknowledgment of her artwork, which was affixed to the cleaning cart used to transport Taylor Swift onto the stage during her tour. Rasmussen speculates that the musical artist or her staff likely acquired the print when Swift performed in the Welsh capital last June as part of the Eras Tour. Rasmussen commented, “Any souvenir that she could have taken from Wales and she took a piece of my artwork. That’s good enough for me.” The mother-of-four also noted, “It’s been a bit crazy. I’ve had shedloads of orders of this print that I hardly ever sell.” Ms. Rasmussen stated she was unaware the singer possessed a copy of the print, created in 2017 and portraying Cardiff Bay at night with a vibrant palette of purples, blues, and yellows, until its appearance on Swift’s Instagram account recently. “I thought it was a joke. I thought somebody had just copied and pasted it,” she remarked. She further mentioned, “I’ve had emails, I’ve had lots of people on Instagram, people in America I know messaging.” Rasmussen added, “It’s nice, a Welsh artist getting a bit of recognition.” The acclaimed US artist, known for breaking records, illuminated the Principality Stadium in June during a one-night concert, captivating attendees for over three hours with her Eras Tour setlist.
