Listeners throughout the West Midlands region are set to experience carol services originating from various local venues, encompassing three cathedrals, through recordings made by BBC radio stations. These broadcasts are slated for Christmas Eve, with the majority scheduled for re-broadcast on Christmas Day. BBC CWR conducted its recording at Coventry Cathedral, featuring an event presented by Vic Minett and including readings by other presenters and choristers from the cathedral. Hereford Cathedral hosted the event for BBC Hereford & Worcester, while Birmingham Cathedral served as the location for BBC Radio WM’s recording. Additionally, BBC Radio Stoke captured a carol service at Stoke Minster, and The Square in Shrewsbury was the setting for BBC Radio Shropshire’s broadcast.
