Law enforcement officials have made public photographs depicting an individual believed to be holding a crossbow. This follows an incident on October 21 in Bow, east London, where a man was menaced with such a weapon. According to police, the victim was walking on Alfred Street between 12:00 and 12:30 BST when he was confronted by another man. This man reportedly acted aggressively verbally and brandished the weapon as a threat before departing the location. Although the victim sustained no physical injuries, reports indicate he was significantly distressed by the encounter. Detective Inspector Nikki Hardy appealed to the public to review the suspect’s images and “think about whether they recognise him or know where he may be”. Investigators stated they are examining potential connections between this event and two assaults that occurred in Shoreditch in March of this year, maintaining an “open mind” regarding the possibility. In distinct occurrences on March 4 and March 14, a woman and a man were struck by bolts. A male individual was apprehended on suspicion of attempted murder concerning these earlier attacks; however, he was subsequently released.
