Charges of murder have been brought against two individuals who appeared in court following the discovery of a man’s body at a residence in York. The deceased, a 72-year-old man, was located in Whitethorn Close, Huntington, on Monday, after authorities responded to a call from a concerned member of the public. Jason Holdgate, aged 32, and Nicola Anne Beck, aged 42, also face charges of motor vehicle theft. They presented themselves before York Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning. Both defendants have been remanded into custody and are scheduled for a subsequent appearance at Leeds Crown Court on Monday. Police confirmed that officers are continuing their investigative work at the Huntington scene.
